Two kinds of credit, spent in a fixed order

The wallet holds two kinds of credit. The monthly grant is a share of your paid plan’s price that resets each billing period and does not roll over; a free plan grants none. Purchased credit comes from top-ups, never expires, and stays yours through a downgrade or a cancellation.

Spending always takes the monthly grant first and purchased credit second, so a top-up is only touched once the grant for the period is used up. Anyone can buy a top-up, including on the free plan, and top-up packages and plan prices come from versioned price records rather than from this page.

Spend is reserved before a call, never after

Before a cloud model runs, the cost of the request is reserved against your balance; afterwards the reservation is settled at the real figure or released. You cannot spend past your balance, and if what is left would not cover a useful answer, the request is refused rather than cut off halfway. A model with no published price is blocked instead of being treated as free.

Credit covers chat, Compare, Judge, the orchestration labs, image and file generation, the coding agent, workspace actions, transcription, the vision helper and read aloud. Local models served through Ollama or llama.cpp are not metered, and web research uses its own separate allowances.

A ledger by feature, and prices in your currency

Every movement is written to an append-only ledger in whole micro-dollars — no rounding drift — and the billing page shows which feature spent each amount, so a busy week of image generation is visible as exactly that.

Prices are shown in more than sixty display currencies, detected from your location or picked by hand, with the original US-dollar amount alongside. The displayed figure is an estimate; you are charged in the currency shown at checkout, at a rate fixed when you pay, through the payment gateways the operator has enabled — PayPal and Paymob today.

Questions people ask

Does unused credit roll over?

The monthly grant does not — it resets each billing period. Credit you bought as a top-up never expires and survives a downgrade or cancellation.

Can a long conversation overspend my balance?

No. The cost is reserved before the model runs, and a request that your remaining balance cannot cover is refused up front rather than billed afterwards.

Why does the price at checkout differ slightly from the one I saw?

The local-currency price on the site is an estimate converted from US dollars. The charge uses the currency shown at checkout and an exchange rate fixed at the moment you pay.
